Farmhouse Kitchen BBQ  is a restaurant melding southern BBQ into North Idaho flavors. All of our foods and drinks are created by passionate chefs! We’re all about delicious local meats smoked for days and house-made sauces! We’re located in beautiful Ponderay/Sandpoint In North 40 Shopping Center-Hwy 95 North/Schweitzer Mountain Cutoff. Meet our Pit master

Chef Patrick Shepler is a native to North Idaho; born and raised in Coeur d’ Alene. He has 3 beautiful daughters with his better-half, Tara, and they currently live in Hayden. He’s always had a love for food, specifically home cooked comfort foods that bring back memories. He loves working in the Northwest and specifically North Idaho due to the diversity of the seasons. While he’s worked in a variety of settings including upscale brunch, steakhouses and high end seafood restaurants, he’s always loved to cook with smoke and fire!

Our Story

Farmhouse Kitchen BBQ originated as a way to serve travelers and guest staying at Ruby Ponderay. We started serving smoked meats – Beef, chicken, and Pork Ribs. On July of 2017 we opened our doors to the Ponderay community as a local dining option. Knowing what you like best, we are now your go-to BBQ Kitchen for Drive Thru and Curbside takeout in the region. We continue to evolve and look forward to a long-term relationship with our customers, friends and family.
